“Mystery creates wonder and wonder is the basis of man's desire to understand.” - T.S. Elliot
THE BASICS
Enticement creates mystery with the assurance of information beyond what is currently accessible, it evolves from the human nature to explore and understand (6, 7). Fear inducing spaces would have a shallow depth of field, or feel as though anything encountered would be a surprise. Enticement asks the viewer to move through the space, seeking what is ahead and then continue to beckon the viewer to move forward.
